As a Senior Data Scientist in Bridgestone Data & Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence (EMIA), you will work on data-driven insights, leveraging and exploring hundreds of million data points, such as Smart Factory, Supply Chain, Finance, and other strategic data initiatives.

Being a member of a cross-functional team, including data scientists, data engineers, data architects, visualization experts, you will be responsible for building up and maintaining a steady inflow of data and making sure that exploration as well as productization of data opportunities will materialize as part of our Data & Analytics Center of Exellence.

Responsibilities:

As a Big Data Architect, you will be responsible for guiding the full lifecycle of a Big Data solution, including:

  • Focus on designing and implementing Big Data Pipelines.
  • Responsible for Bridgestone Advanced Analytics Platform and solutions architecture that are built on the platform.
  • Coordinate with data users and key stakeholders within Manufacturing, across EMEA region, and develop and achieve various long term objectives for data architecture.
  • Design short term resolutions to achieve all goals and prepare data roadmap for management.
  • Determine procedure to identify and collect all required data, validate process and recommend improvements to corporate data. Validate methodologies and tools ideal for data landscape including Big Data world
  • Oversee and monitor all frameworks to manage data across organization.
  • Design and provide support to all data management methodologies according to required standards.
  • Monitor and identify appropriate equipment, tools and systems to achieve all data technology goals.
  • Administer mapping of all data sources and movement and analyze it to ensure appropriate quality of all data.
  • Coordinate with project supervisors and business heads and manages all projects regarding Manufacturing data.
  • Manage various data associate problems such as system configuration and integration on multiple platforms.
  • Provide training to manage various data and ensure enhancement in staff working.
  • Develop key metrics for tests on data and ensure integrity of same on data architecture.
  • Prepare documents for data architecture and maintain knowledge on large data structure as well.
  • Collaborate with new and existing external vendors and provide support to all objectives and assist to create various data architecture.
  • Analyze information flow and recommend appropriate technology to provide support to all business processes.

Profile:

  • 3-5 years of hands on experience across Big Data project implementations
  • Ability to articulate technology choices in addressing architecture concerns and constraints
  • Understanding of DevOps pipelines and key Agile concepts
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (particularly Azure)
  • Knowledge of security design, data management, data governance, lineage and audit.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding across systems integration, information management, data management and architecture, and business analytics
  • Has deep experience with Big Data world including Hadoop distributions and application programming (Spark, MapReduce, Pig, Cascading, Hive, Impala, etc.)
  • Exposure to working in Agile projects with involvement in MVP definition, sprint planning, back-log grooming and resolving blockers on technical solutions
  • Familiar with designing high volume and fast big data solutions that have been successfully implemented into a production environment, both batch and stream processing using frameworks like Spark
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse, data lake and associated ETL and data processing concepts
  • Ability to articulate and hold solution discussion with key stakeholders Senior Enterprise Analytics Architects.
  • Hold a University degree, preferably in Computer Science/IT/Engineering or in a related field
  • Demonstrate a passion for innovation and new idea generation

Pricing specialist

Melior is looking for a Pricing Specialist to join the Central Pricing Team of Bridgestone EMIA. As Pricing specialist you will work closely with the different regions (Europe, MEA, SAF, CIS) for implementation of pricing strategy and provide relevant analysis and support for negotiations to steer the business in line with company targets.

Given the cross-functional participation involved, the person will create and maintain relationships with different stakeholders (finance, supply chain, product management functions, regions and countries) in the organization.

The person maintains high ethical standards, ensuring that data is gathered from appropriate sources using only appropriate methods consistent with Bridgestone values.

Some travel to the Europe regions is required.

Main responsibilities:

Pricing Specialist will be involved in below activities which are undertaken by HQ pricing team.

Competition & Price Positioning analysis:

  • Monitor competitive pricing performance on European level, and make recommendations in line with BSEU strategy, profit and share objectives
  • Generate action proposals based on insights from competitive pricing analysis, sell-on /sell-out positioning of Bridgestone vs competition, consumer & dealer pricing, margin and value analysis
  • Perform regular or ad-hoc various analysis to support business decision; present in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format
  • Develop/optimize and maintain price analysis tools to facilitate the process

Price strategy setting & execution and control:

  • Design List Prices for current and upcoming products which optimize the best price positioning in market and reflects the value of our brand and products
  • Define guidelines & framework for price conditions (discounts, rebates) and work in close collaboration with sales teams and regional pricing teams to set right price offers to customers
  • Support regions/countries on tactical actions , campaigns creations and business growth opportunities
  • Provide accurate and regular price variance reporting highlighting key priorities, changes and attention areas

Act as Subject Matter Expert:

  • Serve as internal subject matter expert on price data acquisition / research methodologies, analysis, reporting, and cooperate with Market Intelligence
  • Supports leadership team members in understanding what the data means and what actions to take

Profile:

  • Degree level expected: degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or Finance
  • Description: Master degree desirable
  • Experienced in multinational organization and environment from automotive, other spare parts or consumer goods as preference
  • Background: Pricing, Sales Planning, Market Intelligence or alternatively combination with Marketing and Finance
  • Level: Specialist
  • Min 3 to 5 years of experience in Pricing, Market Intelligence, Sales, Finance
  • Fluent in English, other European languages are plus
