Production manager

Melior is looking for a Senior Production Manager for an international food production group, located near the North of Brussels. The group has a global footprint and is focusing on growth, operational excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Weekly planning of capacity for the different production lines
• Responsible for full compliance to all legal regulations and international food safety standards
• Propose and implement improvement actions
• Introduction of new products and production techniques in collaboration with R&D and Engineering
• Driving performance of a large group of people (shift supervisors, operators, process engineers,…)
• Improve the knowledge, skills and competencies in your department
• Implementation of the Operational excellence program in your department
• Report the results on a regular basis (site meeting, business unit meeting, management team meeting)
• Proposal of new investments and projects
• Budget responsibility
• Influencing of other departments (engineering, planning/supply chain, maintenance, quality, safety, HR, R&D) in order to create alignment
• Represent the company during customer visits

Profile:

• Engineering degree
• Minimum 10 years in a management role within a complex manufacturing environment
• Fluent in Dutch-English or French-English
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience with managing large teams
• Change agent, passion for continuous improvement
